As Essentials is aimed at small businesses I am surprised that the only accountant reports available on the accounts are for chartered accountants. There should be an option for AAT and the option to include no accountant body.
The reason it doesn't show AAT on the actual report, is because the AAT do not have a published recommendation for the accountants report, therefore we feel we can only offer generic wording in those situations. If the AAT were to suggest their preferred wording we would of course update our templates to match.
thanks for getting back to me. It now doesn’t show as a chartered accountants report but it also doesn’t show AAT on the accountants report, even though I have selected AAT within the practice details. Iris support have confirmed that this hasn’t actually been fixed yet, could you please confirm? Thanks
It's great that we now have the option to select AAT as the supervisory body, however the title on the accountants report still says "Chartered accountants report". Is there any way we can remove "chartered" from the title of the accountants report?
It is now possible to include an accountants report if you are an AAT member. Under the cog (top right) select Practice details and edit your name and address, select 'Add names' under 'Acting auditor/accountants names', select AAT from the Supervisory body drop down.
I am recent subscriber and was very disappointed that this was an issue, given the amount this subscription costs me every month. I really hope this will indeed be rectified within the proposed 8-10 weeks time frame.
Is there any update to this option for AAT as the wording of the accountants report looks wrong without a supervising body, or the ability to manually amend this before it gets sent to the client to approve in the meantime?
I am also supervised by the AAT and do not have the option to remove 'chartered accountants report', it also on the second paragraph leaves a space for the supervisory body. It reads as a practising member of the .
Is there a way to remove this sentence or edit to add in AAT manually?
When I have gone into change to 'none' and save and then gone back into check it has been selected as 'none' it just reverts to select and therefore still including an accountant report. How do I resolve this?
Thankyou for the suggestion. Within practice details settings there is an option to modify the output to exclude a specific supervisoriy body by selecting none. We do have some additonal options planned for the future to remove all together and an option to select based on the client. This will also include an option for AAT.
This is what I use on all my accounts and I got it from the AATs website

Thank you for the information - we will contact the AAT to see if this is still valid. As I said we could not locate anything that they had published.
To confirm this example does not specifically refer to the AAT.
I had this report from the AAT years ago !

Please retry this morning and ensure you refresh the report. The title should adapt not incude 'Chartered'.

Taxfiler had the AAT report so it can't be difficult.
Hi
My apologies for the delay in responding to this thread the "none" issue that was highlighted has now been resolved.
I can also confrim that adding an AAT report varient is a top priority and will be delivered most likely in the next 8 - 10 weeks.
