The time before being logged out feels quite short as sometimes I'll be on a page and filling in lots of information and take a phone call or get side-tracked. When I come back to Elements and click save, I'm logged out and the data entered is lost and I have to type it in again. I also have to enter my 2FA every time I sign in and I can't work out how to change my 2FA settings.
Yet another trial balance entered and lost due to timing out!!
I think I should deduct my lost fees / time from the amount I pay to Iris but if I did that they would owe me thousands!!
IRIS PLEASE SORT THIS OUT IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE DAY 1
The session time out is too short. I keep losing work and it is becoming not just frustrating but more and more of a decision maker in looking fuurther afield for new software. I see the problem has been logged here, and since Jan 2024.
This should be an urgent matter, nearly a year on and it's still marked as "Awaiting prioritization"
If anyone knows any software similar to this / the old taxfiler feel free to post details here as I'm looking to move away from this as they clearly don't care about people paying for a substandard product that frequently causes work to have to be carried out more than once!!
Yes this is exactly what I was going to ask. Just spent 15 minutes filling in a TB only to have it all dissapear. Very frustrating.
Six months later and this is still happening. I wouldn't mind but I just opened a data entry screen which the software allowed to be opened and spent no more than 2 minutes entering the data, clicked save and got the logging out circle!! Can someone at IRIS sort this out ASAP!!
This is becoming increasingly frustrating. I can spend a long time entering data only to be logged out and losing where I was.
Is there any news on this as it is incredibly annoying as well as time consuming .... continually having to log back in, work out what data may not have been saved and then re entering information when needed?
Thanks Rob - yes I can second this as I just got caught whilst surfing for info on using Elements for property management, so when I went back to the tax return tab a whole load of data was lost as Elements logged me out.
We are looking at solutions to improve the experience regarding this. There are a number of tickets logged on this page that effectively cover the same or similar improvements.
I am collating them to ensure we provide a general improvement. I'll provide updates on this as I get them.
Is this being looked at is it is most frustrating?
Also sometimes allows you add tax return pages or change the page you are on thereby making you think you are still logged in and then whilst entering or saving the info added it logs you out without saving anything if it's only taken you 1 minute from changing / adding the page to logging you out!
