As you can't amend the account headings of the accounts, it would be useful to be able to export to word so that such amendments can be made before sending to clients.

Hi
I have this problem as well.
I wan to be able to edit the accounts to improve the presentation of the accounts for the clients.
I do not want to edit the figures, just some of the wording.
For example the lack of a flysheet on the income and expenditure accounts make the accounts look unfinalised and to be honest unprofessional.
The edit function of the nominal account descriptions does not work as it perhaps should.
Thank you for your reply and the specific feedback.
The ultimate plan within the product is to have more flexible reporting disclosure to allow you to make these changes as described.
Part of the reason for not implementing an export to word is linked back to the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act and Companies House looking to mandate that all accounts filings are completed through software. What we are looking to understand is what flexibility is needed so we can implement these ahead of the deadline and don’t inadvertently store up a raft of requests that we cant effect in a short space of time.
I fully understand that is may be a challenge in the short term but once Companies House stop accepting paper copies of accounts we believe this is going to become a much bigger issue for customers like yourself.
Many thanks for your response but the link you supplied above is for
editing account codes?
I know how to do this but for example on the profit and loss account,
deposit account interest is shown as "other income" and this is the kind of
adjustment I was looking for and was told by support that this is currently
not an option.
Also, I wanted to export to Word and used editing accounts as an example so
I do not believe that this should be changed to already exists?

We use professionals for our accounts.

Hi,
This option is available in Elements Accounts Production Professional and Enterprise. This link to our help centre explains how. https://help-iris.co.uk/elements/accountsprod/edit-the-account-code-description.htm?tocpath=Produce%20accounts%7CProduce%20accounts%20(Accounts%20Production)%7C_____6
I couldn’t verify your e-mail address or name so am not sure which AP product you have but hopefully the link has all the information needed.
